~ Mobile Application

Personal Project created for the completion of Google UX Design Specialization

Role : UI & UX Designer

Project Vision

The purpose of this project is to create a platform where users can schedule driving classes that provides the facilities like choosing your pickup and drop location for the classes, which car do you want to learn driving in, which trainer do you prefer. Everything you desire to know before making the decision.

Challenges

1) Create easy-to-book home pickup driving classes
2) Provide users information about all the facilities
3) Allow users to make decisions accordingly
4) Bridge the gap between people who what to learn driving and the institutes

Kick Off!

Starting off, I asked myself a few initial questions. Who is our primary user? What kind of goals do they have? Why would someone want to use this application? Just how large of a scope do I want this project to be? After interviewing four participants to establish archetypes, later on, it became evident that the goals they wanted to accomplish all fell within the same categories; users need better information about the trainer and the training car before scheduling any classes.

Research Questions

Competitive Analysis

While creating the competitive audit for the project, I realized that not many products have been created targeting all types of users. Research shows that the product is marked only to target a specific set of users. A lot of issues have not to been addressed at all by any of the products.

Low-Fidelity Wireframes

Before moving onto high fidelity wireframes and mocks, I wanted to get a feel for what the core of the app would look like when put in front of me.

High-Fidelity Prototypes

And this is how the High - fidelity prototype looks like. It covers all the screens and all the visual elements are applied in these prototypes.

Takeaways

Being a person who just got into a driving school and seeing my father struggle so much to get one instructor that he can trust, made this project incredibly rewarding. I got to experiment with some of the new Figma features and narrow down my design process. Although I was not able to fully flesh out other features and designs I wanted to within this application due to time constraints, it's not to say I won't try to incorporate them in future projects down the line.
